Nora Landes is an art historian, writer, and archivist : )

Her research focuses on early-twentieth-century art and architecture as it relates to industrialization, modernization, urbanism, and nation building, especially within an Italian context.

As an archival researcher and cataloger, she centers the history of counterculture and the avant-garde through the preservation and exhibition of archival materials.

Previously she worked at museums in the United States and Italy. A former communications strategist with both in-house and agency experience, her clients have included the New Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, the Queens Museum, labor unions representing workers in the arts and entertainment industries, and other cultural institutions. She has also published articles and written hundreds of artist bios for Artsy.
