Nora Landes is an art writer, editor, and communications strategist : )

As a communications strategist with both in-house and agency experience, I specialize in working with museums and cultural institutions, mission-driven nonprofits, colleges and universities, and worker-led movements. My clients have included the New Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, the Queens Museum, and labor unions representing workers in the arts and entertainment industries, among others.

My writing has taken a variety of forms, including press releases, articles on art and architecture, artist bios, academic papers, and copy for websites, newsletters, and social media. I have edited essays, exhibition didactics, museum catalogs, and other short- and long-form writing. I also have experience cataloging artwork, rare books, and archival materials.

Previously I’ve held positions at museums in the United States and Italy.

I am currently completing my MA in Art History (degree expected May 2026) with a research focus on Italian modern architecture and design, especially as it relates to political economy and the history of industrialization.
